Quotes from the Classroom

"The Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention program that the Foundation purchased last year has been a great addition to Birmingham Falls academic programs. As the EIP teacher, I have been able to take learners at their level of reading and teach them phonics skills, comprehension, and decoding strategies. The children are learning, improving their reading levels, and feeling successful."

Long Term Funding

In 2010 BFF started allocating 15% of its funding to long-term projects. The current long-term project is the development of an outdoor classroom in the School's central courtyard.

Working with Principal Matzkin, the BFF Board agreed that this initiative should be incorporated into a broader vision and plan for the development and landscaping of the Courtyard.

A Courtyard Task Force has been established to study and develop a vision and plan for the Courtyard. BFF is represented on the Task Force by BFF President, Scott Holloway.

BFF have agreed to fund the development of the plan by a registered architect out of the BFF Long Term Funding allocation.
